A phone watch, not a watch phone
Waggish designers Maywa Denki have come up with a watch based on an analogue dial phone. Dial 117 (the number for Japan's Speaking Clock) and it reads you out the time; you can also dial for a "wake-up call" and so forth.
Price should be Y6,090 including tax, and it's supposedly out at the end of March in Japan.
Incidentally, Maywa's shop offers a range of gadgets that includes the Bitman by designer Ryota Kuwakubo, recently featured by Gizmodo and Engadget. It's also worth exploring the rest of Maywa's site to see the other things that they're up to; all the product pages come with explanations in English and Japanese.
