NTT's new wireless--a DVD in 3.9s
Nikkei IT reports this morning that NTT has developed a 10 gigabit per second wireless technology, meaning you can whip a DVD's worth of data down the pipe in 3.9 seconds. The short-range version has a range of 2-3 metres, but with a booster that rises to between 100 metres and a kilometer. NTT says it's planning to bring the technology into commercial use in 2005.
