Hell's grandads

A bit of grey-on-grey crime news from the Asahi Shimbun which is faintly absurd in an Ealing/Python way: An elderly burglar today robbed an even more elderly woman's tobacconist-cum-residence in Adachi-ku, Tokyo. The woman woke from an afternoon nap to find the man sitting astride her, threatening her with a craft knife and the non sequitur "I'm 80 years old. Give us yer money." She responded by belabouring him about the head with a glass ashtray until he took to his heels, grabbing a handful of cash from a nearby change box on the way.

If this man has enough juice for breaking and entering at 80, I think we have a candidate for future World's Oldest Person on our hands here.
