Tiny hard drive from Toshiba

We're a little late on this and we're breaking our policy of trying to only blog the unblogged, but after digging out a 500 yen coin and looking at the photo of Toshiba's mini-harddisk we started to get all excited about quite how minuscule it is. Furthermore, reading on about the uses Toshiba envisages, it seems quite possible that we could see these turning up in cellphones, PDAs and camcorders in the not-too-distant future. Capacity should be around 2-3 GB according to Toshiba. Sample shipments don't start until next summer, though, so there's evidently still a bit of tweaking to do.
